Themes range from Southern history, the arts, music, food, fishing, golfing, and
include special hobby, cultural, and technical interests. There’s always time for fun on the Coast!
Favorites include Mardi Gras, Cruisin’ the Coast, the Miss. Gulf Coast Billfish
Classic, The Blessing of the Fleet, Biloxi Seafood Festival, Christmas
on the Water, and the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo.

Gras season February thru March
Celebrate a traditional Gulf Coast Mardi Gras, with plenty of parades
and carnival balls. The final parades are held Fat Tuesday, February 24,
2004 making way for the Lenten Season.

Shrimp Festival
& Blessing of the Fleet May
The Blessing of the Fleet is held every year to open the shrimping
season. This celebration includes a street festival, the coronation of
the Shrimp King & Queen, and a parade of decorated boats receiving a
blessing for a safe and bountiful shrimping season. For more
